During this landmark event the CODEX Mexico Manifesto was published, and efforts will be made to establish a book centre, a library, and regional research centre for safeguarding and preserving significant books on the art and history of printing. The Manifesto also aims to advocate for the traditional methods of hand-made papers, and book binding, as well as the use and casting type in order to promote the design and creation of new metal and wood typefaces for letterpress printing. 

The presentation of the Manifesto was accompanied by an exhibition of handmade limited editions aimed at the domestic, regional and global markets.
